January 13, 2015

Huawei announced that the company is expecting to register worldwide sales revenue between 287 billion RMB and 289 billion RMB (US$46.3 billion and US$46.7 billion; US$1=6.195 RMB) for 2014, up 20% year-on-year, reported Tencent on January 13. The company's three business groups—carrier, enterprise, and consumer—all saw favorable growth in 2014. Carrier business rose 15% year-on-year, thanks to the steady growth in worldwide 3G and 4G investments, particularly in China. It is estimated that, as of the end of 2014, Huawei had built 154 4G networks around the globe, translating into 46% market share. The company projects that overseas revenue will represent around 70% of its total revenue last year.
